Special Event E-commerce and On-line Sales 27th January 2014

When you sell on line there are many things to think about. This Special Event focused on:
Return on investment – There is a significant investment in trading on line so it makes sense to make sure that you make effective sales which is about effective contracts that don’t come back to bite you and are enforceable.
The rules and regulations – It also makes sense to think about the implications of legislation and its constraints. This is especially true in respect of the Companies Act requirements and trading disclosures, general consumer protection legislation, the Distance Selling Regulations (or the Financial Services Distance Selling Regulations), the E Commerce Regulations and the Provision of Service Regulations.
Reputation – Maintaining an on-line reputation is critical so we looked at the role of the Advertising Standards Authority and the Information Commissioners Office, together with Cyber Security.
